Tormenta.net surpasses 1 million hits

Projections doubled as busy hurricane season leads to a flood of visitors

TORMENTA.NET, an Internet site specializing in hurricane preparedness and weather information for Puerto Rico, had 1.2 million page hits since it was officially launched on the first day of the 1999 Hurricane Season. The site, found at https://tormenta.net on the World Wide Web, provides extensive information about the weather and storm preparedness in the Spanish language, as well as satellite pictures and other weather images.

TORMENTA.NET was created by ClimaData Corporation, the company specializing in weather forecasts for Puerto Rico founded by meteorologist John Toohey Morales, who is also the weatherman for the Univision Network.
